Love in Action Ministry

Matthew 25:35-36

Canaan's Love in Action Ministry, under the direction of Rev. Dr. Joseph L. Coleman, is an Outreach Ministry that is focused on meeting the spiritual and physical needs of those in our community as mandated by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:35-36.

To God be the glory for this ministry that includes but is not limited to these programs:

* Celebrating Canaan's Community Appreciation "Sonday" by knocking on doors to giveaway light bulbs and the scripture "Jesus is the Light of the World" from John 4:10

* Distributing free bottled water with the scripture from John 4:10 to shoppers as they exit local businesses

* Sharing the "Plan of Salvation" with people that attend Canaan's free lunch and clothing giveaway on the fourth Saturday of each month, at Canaan's Outreach Center; Teens working in this program receive Community Service credits from their schools

* Providing Christmas gifts of clothing and toys to families of parents that are in prison as part of our "Angel Tree Program"

* Providing clothing, preparing and serving meals at "The House of Bread"
